La Paloma provides simple and affordable choices by offering complete funeral and cremation packages. To help ease the burdens at this tender moment, we can meet in your home if needed.
We've tried to make our options as clear possible for you. With the exception of our basic services fee, you can pick and choose any items you like to put together a funeral that's right for you. Our services are divided into 7 main categories:
If you want to put together your own funeral, start with Primary Services (our basic services fee is mandatory, but everything else is your choice), then add what you like from Care and Preparation of the Body, Facilities, Staff and Equipment, Automotive Equipment, Burial Merchandise or Miscellaneous Merchandise and Services.
If you'd like modest arrangements, you can find cremation, burial and other options without ceremonies in our Simple Services category. If you don't see something you'd like, just ask. We'll do our best to accommodate you. Your suggestions are welcome, too.
PRIMARY SERVICES
Basic Services of the Funeral Home

Our services include: conducting the arrangements conference, planning the funeral, consulting with family and/or clergy; shelter of the body; preparing and filing necessary notices; obtaining necessary authorizations and permits; coordinating with the cemetery or other third parties as necessary.

CARE AND PREPARATION OF THE BODY
Embalming

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

Receiving the Body from another Funeral Home

Our charge includes; basic services of the funeral director and staff; shelter of remains; transportation of remains to funeral home and to cemetery or crematory (additional mileage charges apply if outside the 30 miles radius).
All Packages can only be purchased as a package. Any changes other than upgrades to packages will revert the package to an a la carte order.
Our charge for a direct cremation includes: basic services of the funeral director and staff; removal of body; storage of remains; arrangement conference; obtaining necessary authorizations; cremation container; the cremation process and a white plastic urn.
Cremation containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers that we provide are fiberboard.
Paloma Cremation Package

Our charge includes: basic services of the funeral director and staff; removal of remains; storage of remains; arrangement conference; obtaining necessary authorizations; cremation container; cremation; witnessing of the cremation process (if desired); stainless steel urn (Lincoln Vase); 1 hour use of our funeral home chapel for a Memorial Service during regular business hours (8-4:30 pm, M-F).
Funeral Package with Cremation

Our charge includes basic services of the funeral director and staff; removal of remains; storage of remains; arrangement conference; embalming; dressing and casketing; obtaining necessary authorizations; Oval Top cremation casket; cremation fee; 1 hour visitation period at La Paloma or local designation of choice; coordination of funeral service at La Paloma or local designation of choice.
NOTE: You may choose to provide the cremation container, as long as it meets the requirements of the crematory.
Our charge for immediate burial (without ceremony) includes: basic services of the funeral director and staff; removal of remains; storage of remains; arrangement conference; obtaining necessary authorizations; a gray flat flannel covered wood casket and local transportation to the cemetery.
Graveside Service Package

Our charge includes basic services of the funeral director and staff; removal of remains; storage of remains; embalming; dressing and casketing; obtaining necessary authorizations; 20 gauge steel casket (5 color choices), 1 hour visitation period at La Paloma; and local transportation to cemetery; coordination of graveside or crypt-side service.
Paloma Funeral Package

Our charge includes basic services of the funeral director and staff; removal of remains; storage of remains; embalming; dressing and casketing; obtaining necessary authorizations; 20 gauge steel casket (5 color choices), 1 hour visitation period at our funeral home or local destination of choice; funeral service at La Paloma or local destination of choice; local transportation to cemetery.
NOTE: You may choose to provide the casket for burial as long as it meets the requirements of the cemetery.
